Loved the tent sites. nicest ever. The no see um tiny bugs got us! We still have the marks. We are glad KOA had the repellant for sale. The staff was so kind to transfer us to an RV site. The resort is super clean, updated bathrooms and great landscaping. The pool area was tropical. We ate at the outdoor restaurant and used the laundry room. It was a good stay. One of the best KOAs that we have stayed in. We tent camped & site was conveniently located across from the restroom facilities. Tent site included a canopy, picnic table & firepit. The pool was a resort style with really nice furniture, hammocks, lounge area and corn hole/bocce ball area. This KOA also had a marina & highly recommend taking a sunset cruise with Capt. Scott. We will be back!

This KOA is one of a kind. The remodeling makes everything brand new and pop. The landscaping is some of the best I have ever seen, offering a level of privacy and personal space that rivals most commercial campgrounds. The staff was ridiculously friendly and the amenities were ultra clean and amazing. I am absolutely going back.

I came down again and like always I was amazed again about this now so wonderful place !.... I know this place before the storm damage, I was there many times.... That's why I can't believe what the new management have done to this place !!.... Alone the landscaping is outstanding, you feel like in a tropical paradise !!!... We had a great time staying at this KOA. It is honestly the best KOA my family has every stayed at. It was very well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was always someone around if you had a question. My one thing that I wish was better was the closing time for the pool and bar. They both close at 9. Which left us really wanting more, a couple more hrs. Would have been great.

I was again down there at the KOA Sugarloaf Key and like always I'm so happy to be there !!.... It is an amazing place, after renewing everything.... I was there many times before that.... Now it is my favorite Camp - and RV place in the Florida Keys.... You should come and see that wonderful place, with even 2 Hotel Buildings, which I already tried out and I can tell it's amazing !!.... Fran

This is THE most beautiful campground I've ever been in. It was a fabulous camping experience and would want to recommend it to everyone except they may all go eliminating me for future stays. I do hope to return next year.

The staff members were all super friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and other facilities were all spotlessly clean. We loved our stay. Only recommendation would be to have a natural privacy barrier between the tent sites. Hopefully the plants will grow up enough to create this before we return again next year!

So much great things to say about this KOA! Nothing bad at all. Bathrooms clean, staff is amazing, the grounds are well kept, but there is always someone that ruins the facilities because it’s not their home so they don’t care if they mess it up for others. Very nice tent site, but small, very close to neighbors, concrete pad with canopy. Showers, bathroom, laundry were new and very clean. Place seems well maintained and operated. Very expensive for a tent site, but this is the Florida Keys and was the most affordable place we could find that had availability.

Stayed two nights. Spent most of our time at Key West. Park was absolutely stunning. Staff outstanding. Just a very well run facility. Zero complaints.

This is a great place to stay! The Pool/spa area is beautiful, with lots of seating, and the pool bar is great, as is the food from the cafe. They also have things to do in the evenings like trivia and tacos, and live music. Even the dog park is great, with umbrellas and comfy seats for the humans, and a clean off leash place for the dog kids. Plus the beach is great too! I’m going back again!

The only thing is that the tent sites were not for tents only as little motorhomes and such were in them! I think that if it is a tent site it should be only for tents!!! thank you!!!

First, I’ll say that this KOA is one of the better ones we’ve stayed at in the country. It was clean, and the people were courteous. However, on the morning of our second day at the campsite, workers began dumping, raking, and shoveling rocks all around our tent site. At 6:45 in the morning. We were given no notice about this. Absolutely unacceptable, even if quiet hours were ending soon.

Tent camping is very very close making it very noisy and smelling everyone’s food being cooked not pleasant. Having the dog park in a high traffic area is also noisy and hectic.

I have never stayed at such a nice KOA. I didn’t know it was possible to stay at a campground that had the feel of a resort. I was highly impressed with the stay.

The no-see-um bugs were everywhere on the property, we stayed for one night out of three that we reserved because of the bug issue. Otherwise the grounds were well maintained and sites are well equipped.

The most pristine campground I’ve ever seen! Impeccable customer service and absolutely gorgeous landscaping. Couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything was. Bathrooms were incredibly clean too! Wow!!

The rebuilt KOA is very nice. The new bathrooms were a huge upgrade from the old ones. Only issue we had, was no-see-ums.

Staff was amazing, wonderful resort campground. Clean. Great accomodations. Music was fantastic.Just disgusted me how the stones were being sprayed with weed killer. Kids, pets walk on them. The rain washed it away in to the water ways/ocean. Keys are so concerned about peoples sunscreen but yet you polute the water ways with weed killer. Use salt water to prevet weeds, much less expensive too.

This was one of the best camping trips we have ever had! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The grounds and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, prices at the restaurant were great! I loved all the activities and conveniences that were offered, we will be back for sure!

The staff was phenomenal, helpful and so pleasant. They even escorted us to our site! The bathrooms were so clean and well lit. The cafe and camp store was great, they had everything you need!

I had a wonderful time at the recently complete renovated Sugarloaf KOA!!!....it's such a beautiful place now with soo much improvement, after the storm damage and if you know that place from before, like I do many times !!.... I love camping and I felt immediately like home.... Very friendly stuff makes it even more comfortable!... I really liked the roof construction at tent site !... Frank

We absolutely loved it there!!! Stayed in a tent in mid august which was a fun experience. The KOA is beautiful and all the lizards made it super exciting. The one downfall is if you’re staying in a tent the laundry room is open 24 hours and people come with their lights on in the middle of the night to do laundry…slam their car doors and the laundry door with the light shining right in the te

Our experience with this campground was beyond our expectations!! We enjoyed the pool area and the other amenities. The pool was area was beautiful and the service was excellent. Our bartender Randy was fabulous!!

We stayed 3 nights buddy camping with friends here at Sugarloaf KOA. Wonderful experience, very clean facilities, wonderful amenities, nice small kid friendly beach, great pool/hammock/bar area, and the sites are very nice! This KOA is the absolute best we've been to yet! Very Slight Cons- -Beach access needs an updated water toy, the big walking water toy has algae all over it and can't be used. -Renting a boat outside of the Sugarloaf marina does not let you bring the boat over to rent a slip, so rent it ahead of time at the sugarloaf marina next to the KOA if you want to rent the slip at the KOA to use.
