We stayed in one of the yurts. The size of it was great. Was clean. Appreciated having a fridge and microwave in the yurt. The futons were pretty hard for sleeping on, but bringing something more to add to it for cushion isn't a hard thing to do. The bathrooms were clean. We would totally stay here again.

We stayed in a yurt. It was clean and cozy. The restrooms were well kept also. We enjoyed how peaceful the area was. Close to Badlands! We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great. We truly enjoyed the location, friendly workers: Kevin and Jeff, as well as the view and peacefulness of the resort. It was kept very clean and the staff supplied whatever we needed. Our pod was tiny for us two, but clean. Air conditioning/ heater noise made it difficult to sleep, but kept us warm. Thank you for our introduction to the KOA.

Very friendly people. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I typically stay in AirBnB's and perhaps have gotten little spoiled as although cabin had a frig and microwave, there were no dishes, dish soap etc. Not a huge deal, just was expecting a few typical necessities

The deluxe cabin was clean, quaint, and just right for us. The patio and outdoor amenities were sturdy and well constructed. We sat on the patio swing during the thunderstorms that rolled through. This KOA is only a 10 minute drive from the Badlands park entrance which makes for a great place to stay for some day hiking. We enjoyed our stay at your KOA more than a VRBO house we rented in Custer.

Everyone was so incredibly helpful! Really appreciated the hospitality. I only have two thoughts on how to improve: offer hand soap in the cabin bathrooms--this really surprised me! Also, consider offering a set of grilling tools. Otherwise, great!

I had ta great stay. The pod was just like a tiny house and was a perfect place! As was early they were able to accommodate me for the extra night! I was met with friendly faces and super helpful people. A great way to end a tiring drive. The levee hiking trail was a nice bonus in a lovely setting. Hoping to be back with my 2 granddaughters.

Thor and Cindy are amazing. They were so accommodating and dinner was great. Loved the Buffalo burger and 1/4 lb hot dogs. Campsite was very clean and comfortable. So close to the entrance and so quiet at night. We were able to totally unwind. Strongly recommend this campsite and it was our first KOA stay. Definitely will do it again!

There were wasps inside our yurt. Upon check out I informed them and they already knew. The woman looked a little embarrassed because she knew it was infested and didn’t inform us. I said it would have been nice to know and she laughed. I’ve never had a KOA ask for a 5 star review upon arrival. And this is the first time I have stayed at a KOA and not had a good time. Very cute and cozy KOA! Huge dog park and clean shower facility. Loved it! For the surrounding area, great proximity to The Badlands National Park! Otherwise, there isn't much around in terms of stores so be sure to bring food, water and things you need for the stay and meals

I stayed in the yurt. It was comfortable and there was a nice store. The campground was in a convenient location close to the places I wanted to visit.

Showers were amazing so clean each and every day morning noon and night the TV in our yard did not work certainly wish it would’ve my son was out hiking and I had the chance to stay there hoping to watch the football game I know it’s the end of the season but when a person pays for those amenities I certainly wish we would’ve got them the lady at the front desk on our second day was amazing

The staff was very friendly. The bathrooms were clean. My only comment is that the bathrooms are not close to the camping cabins. As an older adult, we sometimes need to use the restroom at night. Which means walking from the cabin to the nearest restroom in the middle of the night. Other than the restrooms being far from the camping cabins, we enjoyed our stay.

I've never stayed at a KOA so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again! I rented one of the camping pods and it was perfect for my two day stay! Site was a quick and easy drive to the national park, clean, and pretty. All staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Cabin was very clean. Was thankful for the air conditioning and mini fridge. Plenty of outdoor space as well. Campground is quiet and peaceful. Can’t beat the location. At the edge of Badlands national park and excellent for star gazing.

We stay there the end of every September. They make improvements every year. This year they added trash pick up, wood delivery and even pizza delivery, straight to your cabin. Only thing we miss is having a real coffee pot instead of the K-cup in the cabin. Can't wait until next year. May every add a summer stay again. Still trying to get friends to come out with us. Campground is another great KOA! Woman at desk very helpful and pleasant with all interactions. We loved our deluxe cabin! And it was perfect with our two medium sized dogs. The smaller basic cabins tend to be too crowded so we really appreciate being allowed to have the dogs with us. Camp K9 is the largest we’ve seen! Dogs loved the running space. Campground so clean and well landscaped.

Excellent location. However the cabin had no hot water. After waking up to a cold shower the first morning I notified the office who told me they knew and a worker had went out at 6am to throw a breaker. Had already showered. Hot water later in morning. Next day wake up to even colder shower. Again I notified office and since we were checking out the lady didn’t seem to care nor offer comp.

Always enjoy our stay here- friendly staff- clean grounds and restrooms. Stayed in a yurt this time- screen door didn’t shut properly- they said they would take a look at it- but never did- very loud going in and out- our neighbors remarked on hearing it overnight and woke our 2 year old. TV also didn’t work and missed watching the Vikings game while having afire as well. For price all should

We stayed in the deluxe cabin which was very comfortable. For six years we had a travel trailer and usually stayed at KOA campgrounds all over the Midwest, West, Southwest. We especially liked the Interior, South Dakota campgrounds because the grounds were so spacious.

Stayed 2 nights. Very nice, clean bathrooms. Cookhouse to get meals onsite. So convenient. Pool was very nice. Would definitely stay again!

Dog park is in middle of campground? Barking,barking,barking. We have always loved and think is a special place as we started coming through 30+ years ago. Very special. Please bring back the soft Native American music that was playing 24/7 throughout all the restrooms. Relaxing. PLEASE MOVE the DOG PARK back where it was! We love dogs, but other people want to enjoy the place too!

Clean bathrooms, fun activities, good breakfast, large fenced dog run (good to the ground fence), nice-cold swimming pool, lots of space for all campers, ez access to the Badlands, 2023 lots of mosquitoes (but the moisture helps everyone-and they sprayed, so bring bug spray and be happy it’s not bone dry.). Most importantly the staff were excellent, friendly, fun, and happy!!!

The staff was wonderful and really helpful. I loved the fact that you deliver the firewood to the camp site and pick up the trash daily. The grounds were wonderful, cabin was adequate, pool was great, the Kookhouse was great. The access to the river was a bit challenging. It would be great if there was a path or 2 to the river. Our BIG issue was the mosquitos!! I know it's nature.

We stayed here for a week as a base camp. Great location to the Badlands National Park , Black Hills , Wall, and Mt Rushmore. The people who worked at KOA were very nice. Thor is the general manager and they had just opened for the season. Things seemed to be getting in order...you know the grass cutting, the ice cream getting stocked, and the pool getting ready for the season. Just realize that just about all campgrounds here are dusty and not paved parking lots with no dirt. The restroom in the camping area was very clean as I had nature call when we were out for a walk. Oh, BIG RIG friendly and we were in campsite 18

We loved this KOA for a stay at the Badlands. Close to the NPS. KOA was clean and peaceful. We stayed in a yurt and it was cozy and clean. Restrooms were well kept also. Staff was friendly. Would stay again.
