Some common sense ideas about camping safety:
1. Keep an eye on the little ones around the fire. Most children are not accustomed to having an open fire near them and they will most likely be fascinated by it. Kids are likely to be running around and even rough-housing at the campsite. Falls near the fire can easily turn into a nasty burn and ruin your camping adventure.
2. Do NOT feed the wildlife. The DuBois/Treasure Lake KOA Holiday is surrounded by large wooded areas. Black bears, deer and foxes live near the area. Be careful not to leave out any food and be diligent about how you dispose of your garbage.
3. If camping with a dog, keep your dog on a leash when outdoors. Our campground has two fenced Dog Parks to allow your dog to exercise freely.
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
